Welder - Architectural Metals and Glass Fabrication - Base Salary to 35.00/hour - Middle Village, NY
- Established in 1989, our client serves as a comprehensive provider of architectural metals and glass solutions. Their expertise spans enclosures, ornamental metals, architectural specialties, mechanical components, and metal art, facilitating fabrication and installation in diverse settings including commercial buildings, stadiums, and airports throughout New York City. Equipped with internal design, project management, and estimating teams, they are prepared for projects of any complexity.
- Our client is seeking a Welder who has expertise in welding aluminum, stainless steel, and steel to join their manufacturing team. The Welder will weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, employing diverse welding techniques to assemble and fabricate metal structures and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics for welding technique selection.
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and specification compliance.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and steel.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 28.00 – 35.00/hour range
