Warehouse Supervisor - 3PL Logistics Company - Base Salary to 52k/year - Newnan, GA
- Our client, a third-party logistics company, provides professional hand loading & unloading of freight truck and shipping containers at warehouses and distribution centers throughout the country. They are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in their south Atlanta area location (Newnan, GA)!
- This Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing a team (12-17 people), tracking & issuing loads using spreadsheet software on 1st shift 7am – 3/4pm typically; overtime pay if working over 50 hours a week during busy season.
Responsibilities:
- Hold, attend and document all shift & safety meetings
- Participate in the recruitment / new hire process
- Document & discuss Associate concerns with Management and follow up with Associates
- Report day to day operational issues to Management
- Use proper communication techniques: I.E.: email, phone, radios, pass downs
- Promote company safety policy on the dock
- Audit Associates on a daily basis – at least 5 trips around the building per shift
- Document and fairly distribute work assignments to Associates
- Enter data in company billing and payroll database & daily operations log
- Supervise the dock area for safety and cleanliness; perform safety audits & documentation
- Supervise the loading and unloading process
- Verify – trailer #, date of trailer, piece counts, weight, destination
- Coach / mentor Associates on a daily basis for continual improvement
- Understand and apply company quality management system and techniques
- Ensure that dock Personnel are using all tools and PPE needed for safety
- Ensure proper care of equipment and follow procedures if any damage occurs
- Interact with customer counterparts to form a smooth-running facility
- May be responsible for training, scheduling, disciplinary action for other Associates
- Exposure to heat/cold depending on the weather
- Occasional lifting to 60lbs.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of 3PL/ warehouse loading/ unloading supervisory experience
- Some forklift knowledge helpful
- Experience with tires- loading /unloading is a plus!
- Highschool diploma/GED & basic math skills
- Bilingual in Spanish / English (at least working knowledge of Spanish)
- Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation for English
- Software – ability to work in a spreadsheet program (Lotus Notes, Excel or similar)
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities & work extended hours or alternate schedules as needed
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 48k – 52k/year range
- Overtime pay if working over 50 hours per week
- Medical/Dental/Vision and 401k are available after 90 days
- 1 week vacation + 4 personal days
- Paid holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas; Double time pay if working other holidays
