Traveling Service Technician – Industrial – Base Salary to 95k/year – East Dundee, IL
- Our client is a leader in the industrial process cooling field, with a focus on the plastics industry. We are looking to add a Traveling Service Technician that will cover all of the US and Canada. This is a rare opportunity to be a Service Technician for an international OEM.
- Successful candidates would have a working knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems, be ok with traveling 30-40% of the time (per diem, credit card, lodging included), and be interested in continuing to improve their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how to service our equipment that is distributed all over the US and Canada
- Learn how to troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Travel out to large industrial client to help with equipment.
- Write detailed reports of each customer’s visit.
- Help troubleshoot and repair systems at our home location.
- Traveling to clients around US 30-40% of the time
- Learning new procedures on how to troubleshoot, repair, and document equipment.
Qualifications:
- EPA refrigerant certification
- 2+ years’ experience in an HVAC/R tech position
- Knowledge of PLC control and control wiring
- Knowledge of 220, 480, and 575VAC 3 phase power
- Mig/Tig/Stick welding experience (preferred)
- EPA type II (preferred)
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 95k/year, based on experience.
