Tooling Engineer – Injection Molding – Base Salary to 75k/year – Dallas, TX
- Our client, an industry leader in high density connectors & components, is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support production molding by analyzing tool & molded part issues & recommending corrective actions.
- In this role, the Tooling Engineer with partner with external mold vendors to generate RFQs for tool repairs, as well as create spare tooling part orders to maintain, repair and modify molds.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze mold part non-conformities & propose solutions
- Initiate RFQs for tooling purchases
- Place purchase orders and track delivery
- Communicate with key team members, internal departments and vendors
- Structure projects based on vendor workload and capacity
- Track projects to assure on-time delivery
- Analyze first article inspection & production data
- Generate weekly status reports on tooling, scheduling, transfers & repairs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree- Plastics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Preferred
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience with 3D modeling software—Inventor, Solidworks, Mold Flow analysis software
- Critical thinking & problem solving skills
Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 75k/year, plus annual bonus. Our client also offers competitive health and life benefits & 401k. Relocation assistance is available.
