Territory Sales Representative - Structural Steel Fabricator - Base Salary to 165k/year - Boston, MA

  • Our client is a Structural Steel Fabricator that details, manufactures, and installs steel structures, no matter how complex, on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
  • They are currently looking for a Territory Sales Representative for their team in Boston. The Territory Sales Representative works to identify and develop new business opportunities for the company, while enforcing the existing relationships with customers, business partners, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Sales Director, define the targeted market, the territory to be developed, and the objectives to achieve. Current territory includes ME, MA, NH, VT, RI, CT, NY, NJ & PA.
  • Stays up to date in the market, targeting interesting projects and new sales opportunities.
  • Shares all invitations to bid with the Sales Department.
  • Establishes the first contact with the customer and introduces them to the sales department as soon as possible.
  • Establishes relationships with clients during the preliminary phases of projects.
  • Obtains pre-qualification documents and tracks until the project is out for bid.
  • Follow up on certain projects after the bid proposal or investigate a specific project.
  • Connects customers with the sales director for all technical questions or price negotiation.
  • Attends scope review meetings following bid proposals.
  • Ensure deposits of sealed bids when required.
  • Submits a weekly activity report to the sales director including an overview of the planning for the coming weeks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Sales related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Must reside in a radius of 100km from the City of Boston
  • Availability to travel to New York and Philadelphia area minimum once per month

Compensation:

  • Base salary to 165k/year
  • PTO and benefits package
  • 401k
