Territory Sales Representative - Monitoring/Mitigation Risk Services - Base Salary to 80k/year - Mount Airy, MD

  • Founded over 20 years ago, our client in the Monitoring and Mitigation Risk space provides solutions for the Construction industry. They are currently experiencing solid growth and have very few competitors in their niche space.
  • They are currently looking for a Territory Sales Representative located around the DC, MD, and Northern VA area. This position will entail heavy new business development calling on GC’s Project Manager’s, and Senior Estimators.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify the scope of work and define quality mitigation risk solutions for projects that match the capabilities and objectives of the company.
  • Promote and drive revenue for new business as well as upselling/cross-selling.
  • Create and nurture strategic relationships with industry partners, clients, and other external stakeholders.
  • Forecast sales activities and attain specified sales targets.
  • Attend customer events and tradeshows to win new business (up to 20% travel).
  • Engage, communicate and present proposals to potential customers
  • Work with the estimating and project team to ensure all opportunities are priced and proposed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or 3+ years of experience in sales calling on GC’s/Project Manager’s/Estimators.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of reading blueprints and drawings
  • Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, conditions and terms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 70k - 80k/year range plus commission
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Full benefits including Health insurance, Dental, Life Insurance, Short/Long term disability, 401K with a company match, and generous PTO policy
