Territory Sales Representative - Industrial and Construction Products – Base Salary to 70k/year – Chicago, IL
- Our client is one of the largest commercial construction suppliers on the east coast. They offer all types of building supplies like tools, hardware, fasteners, PPE, etc. from major manufacturers like 3M, Milwaukee, Rigid, etc. They have an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Representative to be based out of the Chicago area. The Territory Sales Representative will call primarily on commercial construction job sites and commercial contractors offices. This position will be a mix of hunting and new business development, as well as account management and relationship sales.
- Our client is rapidly growing throughout the country and has doubled in size in the last 5 years. They offer contractors top-of-the-line products from many of the industry’s leading manufacturers.
- In this role, the Territory Sales Representative will grow and manage key accounts throughout the Chicago market, while developing and maintaining relationships with new customers. They will provide product information and recommendations, product support, and exceptional customer service. They will work with current and potential customers to fill needs from the company’s vast product catalogue.
Qualifications: 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably selling in the construction or building materials market. The candidate should have a proven track record of sales success and be comfortable selling on a job site and in an office setting.
Compensation: The compensation plan offers a base salary in the 60k – 70k/year range, plus an uncapped commission plan. The company also offers a car allowance, gas card, cell phone plan, laptop, medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO and more.
