Territory Sales Representative - Electrical Equipment and Repair - Base Salary to 85k/year - Philadelphia, PA
- Founded over 75 years ago, our client is an international manufacturer and distributor of connectivity cable, wire, electric motors, and repair parts.
- They are currently looking to hire a Territory Sales Representative to join their team. The territory includes MD, DE, PA, NJ and Long Island. This position will focus on managing and selling into OEMs, Military/defense, data centers, etc. This is the #1 producing territory in the Country!
Responsibilities:
- Handle a large existing book-of-business throughout the MD, DE, PA, NJ and Long Island territory (up to 50% overnight travel). Position requires driving to prospects/clients as well as spend time working from home your home office.
- Maintain, up-sell, and improve working relationships with existing customers to ensure they receive value.
- Prepare sales reports (sales activities, pipeline updates, market updates, etc.) using the company’s proprietary software.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge, conduct demos and handle rejections
- Work with internal team (Customer Service Representative, sales team and management) to achieve sales and booking budget.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of outside sales experience selling electrical equipment and electrical parts or something very related.
- Candidates must reside within the territory for full consideration (MD, DE, PA, NJ, or Long Island)
- Prior experience selling to Engineers, Purchasing Managers as well as strong understanding of distribution
- Experience handling and navigating a large territory with the ability to travel overnight up to 50% throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Track record of exceeding metrics and quotas
- Proficient with sales management software and CRM systems
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k – 85k/year range plus commissions
- Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k (match), generous PTO, mileage reimbursement and travel reimbursement
