Technical Service Representative - Industrial - Base Salary to 120k/year - Baltimore, MD
- Our client is a large industrial manufacturer that has been in business over 100 years. They are a stable company, who provide the opportunity for their employees to build a career. They are looking to fill a Technical Service Representative role in the Baltimore area. Our client focuses on providing quality industrial coating materials and equipment all over the US and internationally.
- The Technical Service Representative will be traveling regionally providing services to clients. Extensive knowledge in the industrial coatings field or Construction field in project management is strongly preferred for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Job start-up assistance
- Investigate product complaints
- Collect samples for failure analysis
- Analyze sample chips
- Demonstrate new products
- Preliminary research summaries for technical service
- Reports on generic and overcoat analysis
- Product failure analysis
- Field trip reports
- Standard customer letters
- Providing additional training support for customers, new agency representatives, and new technical services personnel
- Enhance knowledge and skills in the following categories:
- Coatings technology
- Application and equipment techniques
- Inspection equipment and techniques
- Test methods and equipment
Qualifications:
- NACE and/or SSPC certifications preferred
- Water tank experience a plus
- Not afraid of heights
- Proficiency in handling field assignments with minimal supervision
- Comfortable traveling 50% of the time
- Field painting experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 120k/year
