Technical Sales Engineer - Plastics & Polymers - Base Salary to 110k/year - Los Angeles, CA

• Our client, a Plastic Film Manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to act as a key bridge between technical expertise and customer-facing sales activities.
  
• In this role, the Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to sales teams and clients, ensuring that customer requirements are met with appropriate product solutions and supporting the overall sales process with expert technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer challenges and deliver technical solutions that align with client needs
  
• Provide pre-sales and pos-sales technical support-- troubleshooting, technical product demos, and resolving technical inquiries
  
• Assist with technical proposals, provide input to Product Management for customized features or solutions
  
• Present and demonstrate technical product features and functionalities to clients-- SME for specific technologies & product lines
  
• Work cross-functionally to ensure successful product support and fulfillment of customer requests.
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and technological developments to support customers
  
• Provide feedback to product management and product development teams regarding recurring customer issues or potential improvements
  
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, and feasibility studies as required for sales opportunities.
  
• Manage projects involving technical customer issues and ensure timely and accurate communication of solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’ s Degree in Engineering or Sciences, required.
  
• 3+ years of experience in technical support, technical sales support or related role
  
• Strong technical background and understanding of polymers and polymer processing.
  
• Ability to develop a solid understanding of product specifications and functionalities.
  
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer relationship management.
  
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and technical documentation tools is a plus.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Availability for domestic and international travel to provide on-site customer support as necessary.

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 110k/year. Our client also offers competitive health and life benefits & 401k. Relocation assistance is also available.
