Supply Chain Manager - Light Manufacturing - Base Salary to 75k/year - Plainview, NY
- Our client, a well-established contract Electronics Manufacturing company with suppliers in the US and Germany, is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end supply chain activities, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution. They support a variety of industries, semi-conductor, film, chemistry, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, & clean technology, etc.
- The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director of Supply Chain and can be fully remote; or hybrid (3 days in office if local/ commutable to HQ in Plainview, NY).
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate demand forecasts of all line items using statistical forecasting, collaboration with cross functional departments, customer insights, and business trend information
- Manage the existing supply chain: Review regularly purchased orders & shipping quantities to achieve monthly targets /supply chain-related KPIs: on-time-delivery, inventory accuracy, demand forecast accuracy, inventory turnover
- Create and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure a smooth supply through the whole supply chain, successfully develop a material supply strategy to avoid market-related shortages, increase customer forecast visibility to 18-24 months
- Analyze, maintain, and modify key item-level system replenishment settings
- Develop/maintain statistical safety stock strategy
- Manage customer-specific systems and tools via the forecasting system
- Provide Sales and Operations teams with timely analysis & guidance
- Provide cross-functional leadership to solve demand-related issues
- Implement solutions to maximize warehouse efficiency and use
- Review and monitor the status of annual contracts & supplier base strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3+ years’ experience managing supply chain/logistics/inventory/purchasing
- Understanding of supply chain KPIs
- Light manufacturing experience is a plus!
- Strong computer skills including advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros) as well as some ERP/ MPR experience; EDI implementation a plus!
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 60k - 75k/year range
- Bonus program based on company and individual targets paid annually
