Structural Engineer - Panelized Structures and Metal Trusses - Base Salary to 120k/year - North Kansas City, MO
- Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team, specializing in the design, analysis, and optimization of cold-formed steel (CFS) panelized structures and metal trusses for high-rise and multifamily housing projects. The Structural Engineer role will require technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and close collaboration with project managers, fabricators, and construction teams to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop structural designs for cold-formed steel panelized systems, metal trusses, and related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform detailed structural analysis, including load calculations, to ensure the safety and integrity of designs.
- Optimize designs for cost-efficiency and constructability without compromising quality or performance.
- Work closely with estimators, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into project workflows.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals to verify alignment with engineering designs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on cold-formed steel and metal truss systems preferred.
- Proven experience in high-rise and multifamily housing projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, SAP2000) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations, including IBC, ASCE 7, and AISI.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 90k - 120k/year range
