Structural Engineer – Healthcare Construction – Base Salary to 140k/year – Gillette, WY

• Our client is a healthcare company that built a construction division to meet their own growing needs. While this division performs a lot of work for themselves, they have also expanded to serve the larger community to offer ground-up, all-inclusive design build services. They are actively growing, and provide in-house services for framing, MEP, concrete, and civil work.
• The Structural Engineer is a crucial player in their expanding operations. This person will work with the design team alongside Architects and MEP and Civil engineers. Projects on the docket include medical facility additions, administrative buildings, and commercial projects ranging from 10k to 100k sq ft. They need detail-oriented professionals who can play a key role in the entire construction process, from design to final implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and strength of all buildings under construction
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings
• Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses
• Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction
• Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval
• Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure
• Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers
• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness
• Administer contracts and manage projects
• Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations
• Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes

 Qualifications:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, licensed as such
• 5+ years of work experience as a Structural Engineer
• Professionally registered with the Institute of structural engineers
• Expert experience in project management
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
• Sound understanding of physics and mathematics
• Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines
• Three-dimensional conceptual skills
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Must be able to work onsite in Gillette, WY

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k – 140k/year range, dependent on experience
