Structural Design Engineer – Architectural Engineering – Base Salary to 145k/year – Atlanta, GA
- Our client, a well-established and still growing Architectural Engineering company, is currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer. This position can be located within an hour or so range of any of their locations: Atlanta GA, Raleigh, NC, or Virginia: Richmond, Lynchburg, or Alexandria / Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical design and development solutions for steel and concrete buildings including many federal / DOD projects
- Collaborate with the project management team on 1-7 projects at a time
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses (by hand and with software)
- Prepare written reports, drawings and specifications for projects
- Coordinate/communicate project structural activities with other design disciplines
- Lead junior staff in the technical design of structures
- Develop proposals and determine level of effort for the structural tasks
- Review construction phase requests for information and submittals of field-testing results, materials composition, etc.
- Be available for in-office meetings and to perform occasional site visits at existing facilities as well as projects under construction
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' technical design experience of steel and concrete buildings
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software and structural analysis software such as RAM Structural System, RISA, RAM Concept
- US Citizen for federal project work; ability to obtain security clearance
- Preference for: Federal or Industrial project experience and advanced degree in Structural/Architectural Engineering
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 145k/year depending on candidate experience
