Staff Accountant – Construction – Base Salary to 80k/year – Alpharetta, GA

• Our client, a fast-growing Asset Manager, is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their construction division. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The Staff Accountant role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our client’s dynamic construction projects while advancing one’s career in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records on a regular basis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs, expenses, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k - 80k/year range
• Yearly bonus plan
