Shredder Operations Supervisor - Metal Recycling - Base Salary to 90k/year - Salem, OR
- Our client, a large Metals Recycler, is seeking a Shredder Operations Supervisor to directly oversee the Maintenance, Production & Efficiency of the Hammermill & Downstream Operations . This role will be responsible for providing leadership to the department and managing the work schedules for operating the Hammermill & Downstream efficiently.
- In this role, the Shredder Operations Supervisor will be responsible for working closely with the maintenance team to ensure regular, preventative maintenance occurs, along with efficient production of the Hammermill.
- Responsible for leading the production & maintenance of the Hammermill & Downstream departments.
- Directly Manage, Train, Develop & Discipline team members as needed
- Meet with management team weekly to discuss projects, upgrades & maintenance plans
- Develop & Manage Critical parts lists & inventory processes for reordering inventory & tracking parts
- Prepare & monitor daily production reports
- Examine equipment for excessive wear & work with maintenance to repair & rebuild shredding equipment as needed
- Backup operator in emergency situations
- Ensure safety practices are adhered to
- 3+ years of Shredder Operations Experience
- 2+ years of Leadership/Management experience
- Strong Problem Solver & Self-Motivate
- Solid Mechanical Aptitude
- Experience leading, training & holding employees accountable
- Base salary up to 90k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
