Shop Manager - Millwork and Cabinetry - Base Salary to 35.00/hour - North Kansas City, MO
- Our client is seeking a Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of their production shop in North Kansas City, MO. The Shop Manager will manage teams of spray painters, casework and millwork carpenters, and cabinet fabricators to ensure the highest quality production standards and timely delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in millwork and cabinetry production, exceptional leadership skills, and a focus on efficiency and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage shop personnel, including spray painters, millwork carpenters, and cabinet fabricators.
- Oversee the production of casework, millwork, and custom cabinetry to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate workflow, schedules, and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers to align shop production with project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure accuracy, craftsmanship, and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in millwork, casework, or cabinetry production.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and processes related to cabinetry and millwork.
- Familiarity with spray painting and finishing processes for custom millwork.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 30.00 - 35.00/hour range
