Shop Manager – Civil Land Development – Base Salary to 80k/year - College Station, TX

• Our client, a leading civil land development company, is dedicated to excellence in project execution and client satisfaction. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, our client is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Shop/Equipment Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance and repairs on John Deere and Caterpillar equipment.
• The Shop Manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of John Deere and Caterpillar equipment used in civil land development projects. The Shop Manager will manage the shop operations, supervise technicians, and ensure equipment is serviced efficiently to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the maintenance and repair of John Deere and Caterpillar equipment.
• Supervise shop technicians and assign tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers to prioritize equipment servicing based on project needs.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
• Order parts and supplies necessary for equipment repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair history.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in the shop.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably with John Deere and Caterpillar equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience managing a team of technicians.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and industry standards.
• Certification or training in equipment maintenance and repair is a plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k – 80k/year range
