Shipping Supervisor - Automotive Stamping - Base Salary to 80k/year - Detroit, MI
- Our client, a national leader in automotive stamping, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor (internally titled Shipping Floor Supervisor) to be responsible for ensuring all customer shipments are prepared & sent correctly and on time.
- In this role, the Shipping Supervisor will coordinate with production control, material handling & shipping personnel to support the delivery of quality products. The Shipping Supervisor will also support the communication of urgent customer requirements to production personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Manage shipping area to ensure all customer requirements are met and all shippers are complete, correct and on time.
- Calculate and create the daily ship list, including tier 2 releases
- Communicate with customers as needed
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate & adequate
- Organize the Shipping Floor Workflow
- Notify the President of any shipment issues, shortages and/or expedited shipments
- Maintain Shipping Department Hardware
- Oversee completion of appropriate paperwork & shipping forms
- Update & maintain shipping logs
- Monitor Shipping Docks to make sure loads are complete
- Conduct Employee Reviews
- Produce Monthly & Weekly reports related to inventory & customer requirements
- Manage Prioritization for JIT Schedule & Environment
Qualifications:
- Strong personal computing skills including knowledge of MS Excel & Word
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Ability to Troubleshoot issues & follow through
- High level communication & negotiation skills
Compensation: For this role includes a base salary up to 80k/year, plus an annual bonus.. Our client also offers comprehensive health benefits and 401k with a company match.
