Service Technician - Industrial Equipment/Recycling - Base Salary to 40.00/hour - Charlotte, NC

• Our client, a specialist in Shredding Technology, is seeking a professional and experienced Service Technician to join their team based out of the Charlotte, NC area.
• In this role, the Service Technician will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install shredders and other machinery. The Service Technician will also be expected to train the customer on the safe operating procedures and standard preventative maintenance of all equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing shredders and other machinery
• Train the customer on the safe operating procedures and standard preventative maintenance of all equipment
• Attend demos and meetings as needed at company headquarters near Charlotte, NC

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with industrial maintenance equipment (shredder machinery experience highly preferred)
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems and schematics are required
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams, connection drawings and mechanical drawings
• Should be comfortable working with up to 480 volts electrical
• Experience working with large machinery (stationary and mobile\
• Experience with troubleshooting equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be open to 75% travel (this is a travel heavy position) within the US and other international required locations
  
  • Most travel will occur during the week. Any weekend travel will be considered OT and be compensated.
• High School Diploma required

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 35.00 - 40.00/hour range
• $85 per day allowance (per diem)
• All travel expenses covered by employer
