Service Technician - Commercial HVAC/R Company - Base Salary to 45.00/hour - High Point, NC

  • Our client is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Technician who is driven by a passion for continuous personal and professional growth. They are looking for someone who is a dedicated problem solver, excels in their field, and is consistently striving to surpass client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety in all job aspects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Respond promptly to service requests, recognizing time sensitivity
  • Thoroughly evaluates HVAC controls systems to identify the root cause of failures, recommending preventive measures.
  • Hold necessary certification for proper handling of refrigerants and expertise in using HVAC/R diagnostic equipment.
  • Commission, troubleshoot, repair, detect leaks, and conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems like VRF’s, RTU’s, AHU’s, Package Units, Mini- Splits, Furnaces, Chillers, Boilers, and Furnaces. This technician should be familiar with repair of copper tubing, pipes, controls such as thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, relays, filters, controls, belts, heat exchangers, pressure controls, safety valves, etc
  • Performs electrical work and operate various hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, and test equipment used in the trade.
  • Test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Quality-check work to ensure all repairs were carried out correctly, thoroughly testing the refrigeration system for proper functionality.
  • Travel to job sites in company van/truck

Qualifications:

  • HVAC/R: 5+ years experience (Required)
  • EPA Universal (or EPA I & II) and/or CFESA certification, (Required)
  • Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours
  • 3 Phase electrical repair and troubleshooting experience (Required)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Technical training in Refrigeration/HVAC systems
  • Ability to obtain additional licenses and certifications as needed

Compensation:

  • Base salary to 45.00/hour
