Service Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing – Base Salary to 60k/year – Roslyn Heights, NY
- Our client, with over 70 years in the industry, is a leading international manufacturer of machinery. They are one of the world’s most well respected manufacturers of their product due to the company’s ability to continually develop fast and efficient high quality products to meet the rigorous demands of today’s fast-paced production environment.
- In this role, the Service Engineer will operate in the field, traveling to customer sites to provide services, perform maintenance tasks, and carry out installations. Leveraging their technical expertise, they will troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise to ensure the smooth functioning of the customer’s equipment. In addition to ensuring proper equipment installation and functionality, the Service Engineer actively provides excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Complete upgrades and maintenance of equipment across different customer locations, ensuring excellent customer service is provided
- Configure hardware and software components accordingly after the installation process
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Test equipment to troubleshoot issues
- Document installation repairs, maintenance and communications with customers
- Ensure the upkeep of tools and equipment utilized during service calls
- Provide instruction to customers on the proper usage and maintenance of equipment
Qualifications:
- Exceptional skills in providing customer service
- Problem-solving abilities to identify issues with malfunctioning equipment
- Effective time management skills to efficiently handle appointments and adhere to schedules
- Keen attention to detail to identify issues and produce precise reports regarding the repairs
- Proficient organizational abilities to ensure tools and paperwork are well-organized during field operations
- Computer and technical skills to attain a thorough knowledge of equipment
Compensation:
- Base salary to 60k/year
