Senior Supply Chain Buyer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 90k/year - Lancaster, PA
- Our client, with over 100 years of design, manufacturing and selling of custom solutions for power transmission, motion transfer and conveying applications is seeking an accomplished Senior Supply Chain Buyer for their South-Central Pennsylvania location. The company has a global presence and an exceptional reputation in their industry. The successful candidate will support the company’s focused strategic initiatives and be responsible for the planning and procurement of raw materials and facility service requirements.
- For this opportunity, you will need to possess vast experience involving negotiating and managing terms and pricing of contracts and service level agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers, contract review and service level agreements
- Perform cost and make-buy analysis
- Represent procurement on projects and initiatives as SME
- Lead procurement efforts related to capital equipment purchases
- Lead Supply Chain kaizen and continuous improvement events
- Identify and resolve supplier quality issues
- Manage inventory levels to meet production schedules and achieve financial targets, ensuring customer service targets are met
- Work directly with supply chain planners and manufacturing and other departments on any potential material delays, supplier disruptions, inventory discrepancies, etc.
- Support merger and acquisition activities, including Procurement integration and standardization
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
- Support New Product Introduction projects, including direct and indirect purchases; supply chain development
- Conduct market analysis, identify trends in the supply market and opportunities
- Mentor and train Supply Chain associates
Qualifications:
- 5+ years procurement/supply chain experience
- Experience negotiating pricing and developing contracts/terms
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Working Knowledge of MRP/ERP programs
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 90k/year
- 401k program
