Senior HVAC Technician – Commercial HVAC Company - Base Salary to 50.00/hour – Fort Worth, TX
- Our client maintains world-class expertise in Building Automation and Control Networks (BACnet) systems. Their system capabilities include controlling indoor climate, energy savings via enterprise scheduling/optimization, trending, centralized control, customized energy analytics, energy reporting, central plant optimization and remote monitoring/alarming. As a company they provide a number of services to their clients such as, preventative maintenance, equipment repair, equipment replacement and installation, pneumatic control systems and VFD sales and installation.
- Currently they are seeking a Senior HVAC Technician (internally titled Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician) to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, will enjoy mentoring junior technicians in the industry and is looking for a company to grow with.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade/position and type/size of equipment to include chilled water systems, hot water systems, air handling units, VFD’s, split systems up to 25 tons, RTUS up to 25 tons, WSHP up to 25 tons, self-contained systems, CRAC units.
- Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
- Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
- Completes service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls with high quality while maintaining profitability.
- Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
- Participates in technician on-call-stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
- Safely operates motor vehicles and trailers as evidenced by past driving performance record. Meets requirements of fleet safety and driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
- Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
- Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
- Working conditions include being on a roof or in a mechanical room for extended periods of time
- Working on ladders
- Carrying tools and sometimes heavy equipment
- Operating in a safe manner according to all OSHA regulations
- Wearing proper personal protective gear
Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience as a commercial HVAC service technician or related position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- HVAC certification or relevant trade school education preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with various HVAC systems, components, and brands.
- Able to work effectively with app-based software.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 40.00 – 50.00/hour range, dependent on experience
- Unlimited Over Time
