Senior Controls Technician – HVAC Building Automation Controls – Base Salary to 50.00/hour - Charlotte, NC

  • Our client is an industry leader in HVAC building controls solutions. From design and install and to service repair and maintenance the company is a leading supplier of Building Automation Systems, automated control systems, systems integration, critical airflow solutions, and energy management systems.
  • Some of the clientele of the company include Commercial, Industrial, Medical, Data Centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, troubleshoot code, and fix graphics for Niagara / Tridium
  • Troubleshooting and upgrades to existing jobs
  • Perform remote site analysis via modem or web access on servicing products and equipment.
  • Maintain client relations and deliver world class client service
  • Respond to trouble calls and work with minimal assistance to diagnose and repair
  • Perform warranty work to include attending warranty hand-off meetings when needed, may be required to visit warranty sites.
  • Assist with development of solutions.
  • Fulfill contract obligations effectively and efficiently
  • Regional travel; home most nights
  • Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm hours with a limited amount of overtime as needed

Qualifications:

  • BAS /DDC Controls technician experience
  • Program, troubleshoot code, and fix graphics for Niagara / Tridium
  • Proficiency in being able to write custom code, integration, and create custom graphics

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 37.00 – 50.00/hour range, dependent on experience

What motivates you?

A good challenge or competition! Changing people’s lives for the better!

When did you start selling and/or recruiting?

I think I started selling when I came out of the womb. Seriously though, for as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed meeting people, making friends, building relationships, you name it. I can’t think of anything I would rather do than sales and recruiting! There is no greater feeling than matching that perfect candidate with his or her dream job! That makes me happy!

What do you do for fun/spend your free time?

I love sports – coaching, watching, participating (much more when I was younger, of course). I have three boys that keep me very busy, and I have loved coaching them over the past ten years or so. Football, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, and basketball!

Where did you go to school, college, major?

Towson State University (when it was still called Towson State). Greatest five years of my life. I met my wife, I met my business partner, I met many lifelong friends and I had a ton of fun!

What do you typically eat for breakfast?

Depends. Am I in my “all or nothing” workout phase where it’s a Nutribullet shake with veggies and fruits, or is it the other nine months of the year when it’s whatever I can get my hands on?

Who is your hero?

My dad. He taught me everything I know! I learned how to work hard, how to be a good father, how to be a good husband, how to ride a motorcycle, how to sacrifice everything for those that you love, how to deal with terrible situations and make the best of it, and most importantly, how to never give up!
