Sales Technician - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary 75k/year - Piscataway, NJ
- Our client, a well-established family-owned Plastic Mold Injection & Extrusion company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Technician for their Piscataway, NJ location. The Sales Technician will be responsible for a combination of Inside and Outside Sales for existing and new accounts (diverse customer base) working with a team of 2 other Sales Technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Establish new accounts by following up with existing sales leads
- Make and submit orders by referring to product literature and price lists
- Gather current marketplace information to identify potential customers
- Contact potential customers in person, over the phone, or via email
- Investigate problems; prepare reports, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management to resolve customer needs
- Attend internal and external training courses to build industry-related skills
- Provide historical records by documenting all customer inquiries and sales
- Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals
- Support company quality & safety programs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Technical Sales Experience for Plastics Manufacturing with ability to discuss technically complex products
- Ability to travel for some outside sales appointments
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficient
Compensation:
- Base salary 75k/year, plus commission
- Medical, dental, vision insurance
- 401k with up to 5% match
