Founded over 80 years ago, our client is an international distributor in the industrial automation and motion control space. This family-owned company has extremely little turnover and is extremely well respected in the New England area. They are looking to hire a Sales Support Specialist to join their team. This position will focus on supporting the Outside Sales Representatives who focus on selling into OEMs and MRO clients throughout the New England territory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and enter Purchase Orders, cross-reference parts, monitor availability of stock
- Handle communication with current and potential clients to increase sales
- Correspond with Distributors, Purchasing Agents, and clients in the OEM space (Some industries include: Food & Beverage, Packaging, HVAC, Automotive, Material Handling, Robotics, Biotech, etc.)
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any customer issues
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a technical/engineering sales role (prefer any experience working with OEMs and MRO customers)
- Experience working for a distributor in the electrical/mechanical space
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and strong mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 65k - 75k/year range, plus incentives
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k (match)
