Sales Account Manager - Material Handling - Base Salary to 85k/year - Wixom, MI

  • Founded over 20 years ago, our client in the Material Handling Supplier space provides solutions for OEMs in the automotive, electronics, logistics, aerospace, and heavy truck and agriculture industries. This company currently has over 1,000 customers!
  • They are currently looking to hire a Sales Account Manager to join their team. This position will focus on managing OEM accounts as well as cultivate new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, cold-call, promote and sell Material Handling Equipment to OEMs (such as Toyota, Ford, Sony)
  • Manage existing OEM clients and upsell accounts
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met
  • Travel to conferences, tradeshows, and networking events
  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any customer issues

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with the Big 3 Teir-1 Automotive companies (GM, Stellantis, and Ford)
  • Experience calling on Plant Managers, Purchasing Managers, Lead Engineers
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing process (worked on the floor)
  • Understanding of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 65k – 85k/year range plus healthy commissions
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k (match)
