Safety Manager – Civil Land Development – Base Salary to 80k/year – College Station, TX

• Our client, a leading civil land development company located in College Station, TX, is committed to prioritizing safety in all aspects of its operations. With a focus on ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining compliance with industry regulations, our client is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join their team.
• The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Safey Manager will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to identify potential hazards, implement safety protocols, and provide training and support to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and orientation for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety meeting minutes.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop job-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
• Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP, OHST) preferred.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k – 80k/year range
