Regional Sales Representative – National Fabricator/Distributor – Base Salary to 80k/Year + Commission – Boston, MA
- The company is a national fabricator and distributor of engineered components used in a broad range of industries. They do business in all 50 states and across North America. They sell over 20,000 items to specialized markets including architectural glass and construction, specialty vehicle manufacturing, and original equipment production. In 25 years, they have selectively grown to 70+ employees and have never gotten away from the first name basis mentality and sense of camaraderie that creates a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere!
- The Regional Sales Representative position is dedicated to developing new accounts while maintaining existing accounts within the provided territory. The role revolves around everyday sales activities and market research, while focusing on education in our products and our target markets. This role is an integral position, that generates both revenue and new market potential. As a team member, you would report directly to the Sales Management team. You will be working with Marketing and Sales team members daily as well you will interact with other departments such as Purchasing, Marketing Communications and the Information Technology department.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new account & maintain existing accounts in their respective territories
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and targets
- Specify new products & promote new technologies
- Maintain & develop target pipelines to monitor sales progress
- Effectively demonstrate problem solving skills to solve application issues
- Consult & build relationships with key decision makers
- Product demonstration & site product trials to showcase product features and benefits
- Research target markets with guidance from management team
- Submit quotation opportunities to Quotation Department
- Communicate with Sales Team members for specific guidance based upon job information
- Work with team members, vendors, and customers to gain market information
- Assist in sales support activities such as assisting in webinars, conferences, and tradeshow activities
Qualifications:
- Willing to travel overnight 50-75% per week within given territory
- Education of bachelor’s degree – with Business Background is highly preferred but not required
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate facts and concepts
- MS Excel proficiency is preferred
- Adobe PDF proficiency is required
- Outlook proficiency is required
- Aptitude towards reading and understanding technical information as needed
- Quotation/ Project / material management experience a plus
- Enjoy being a part of a team, and working in a cooperative environment
Compensation:
- Base salary to 80k/year depending on the candidates experience level plus an uncapped commission plan and end of the year bonus.

From the time I was a baby, I always had this tiny pink basketball in my hand and a smile on my face. When I started to grow out of that tiny pink ball, I upgraded to an actual basketball and I dribbled it every day to elementary school with that same smile on my face. So obviously, my dream was to be a WNBA player! Unfortunately, I wasn’t THAT good. I played in college and had the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level which ended up being an even bigger dream come true. I learned my true passion was for people and helping them reach their goals, which essentially lead me to this career in recruiting. Now, I don’t dribble my ball to work every day, but I do come to work with a SMILE every day!
