Regional Sales Manager - Geotechnical Services - Base Salary to 150k/year - Germantown, MD

  • Founded over 20 years ago, our client in the Geotechnical Services space provides solutions for the Construction, Marine, Mining, and Demolition industries. They are currently experiencing solid growth and have very few competitors in their niche space.
  • They are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager (selling role) located around the DC, MD, and Northern VA area. This position will entail heavy new business development calling on GC’s Project Manager’s, and Senior Estimators.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify the scope of work and define quality mitigation risk solutions for projects that match the capabilities and objectives of the company.
  • Promote and drive revenue for new business selling the company’s geotechnical and structure monitoring services to GCs/Project Managers
  • Create and nurture strategic relationships with industry partners, clients, and other external stakeholders.
  • Forecast sales activities and attain specified sales targets.
  • Attend customer events and tradeshows to win new business.
  • Travel throughout territory consisting of Boston down to Miami over to Texas (25% overnight travel)
  • Engage, communicate and present proposals to potential customers
  • Work with the estimating and project team to ensure all opportunities are priced and proposed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Must have 3+ years of experience selling Engineering Services such as Seismographs, structure monitoring services, vibration monitoring, etc. calling on GC’s/Project Manager’s/Estimators.
  • Solid understanding of reading blueprints and drawings
  • Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, conditions and terms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 125k - 150k/year range plus commission
  • Mileage reimbursement
