Quality Manager - Synthetic Rubber Manufacturing - Base Salary to 145k/year - Texarkana, TX
- Our client is a U.S. company with 10B revenue and 850 sites nationwide. They are well established and growing, looking to add a Quality Manager to their team.
- The Quality Manager will be in a high impact leadership role, to lead Quality Control & Assurance at a 500-person, 1M sq. ft. synthetic rubber manufacturing facility. The Quality Manager will also manage process quality, QMS compliance, and equipment capability optimization in a high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of 15+, including a Quality Lab Manager, Quality Audit Analyst, and 12 QC Technicians.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement, moving from product quality to process quality with a data-driven approach.
- Oversee and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2025 and Miami-Dade certifications.
- Develop and track key quality KPIs, using audits and corrective actions to drive process improvements.
- Conduct quality audits, root cause analysis (8D, TQM), and problem-solving initiatives to eliminate quality issues.
- Ensure continuous flow manufacturing by optimizing equipment capability and minimizing process downtime.
- Oversee incoming material qualification and ensure proper inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Engage with Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Customers to align quality standards with business goals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience leading an entire Quality Assurance and Quality Control function in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership experience, managing teams across multiple shifts and plant areas.
- Expertise in ISO 9001:2025, quality audits, and regulatory compliance (Miami-Dade a plus).
- Experience with TQM tools, SPC, and continuous improvement strategies.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 120k - 145k/year range plus 15% bonus potential
- 401k with 4% company match
