Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 70k/year - Middletown, PA
- Our client, who has been servicing all branches of the U.S. Military for over 40 years, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. Renowned for their adherence to reliability and environmental standards across industries, particularly in aerospace, this employee-owned company stands out for its commitment to excellence.
- The Quality Engineer is responsible for reviewing and revising Quality System procedures in line with AS 9100/ISO 9001 standards, conducting internal and supplier audits, analyzing processes for improvement, supporting root cause and corrective action techniques, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality and manufacturing flow.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and revising Quality System procedures (AS 9100/ISO 9001) including validation protocols, manufacturing procedures, specifications, documentation, and SOPs.
- Conducting internal audits, documenting systems, identifying improvements, and implementing corrective actions.
- Managing Supplier Quality processes, prioritizing suppliers, conducting audits, and tracking effectiveness.
- Analyzing processes and recommending improvements to management.
- Implementing process controls to enhance quality and manufacturing flow.
- Analyzing data on complaints, nonconforming materials, and training effectiveness.
- Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Assisting with quality commitments related to cost, scrap, rework, returns, and delivery.
- Providing guidance to direct reports as directed by the Manager.
- Collaborating with Design Engineers for defect-free production releases.
- Communicating with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
- Observing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word 5. Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
- Base salary to 70k/year
