Quality Control Clerk - Plumbing and HVAC Industry - Base Salary to 70k/year - Plainview, New York

• Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Quality Control Clerk to join their team. This position is vital in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of returns, warranties, order entry, and customer service operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Process and document customer returns and warranty claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to defective or incorrect products in coordination with manufacturers and customers.
• Maintain detailed records of warranty and return transactions for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Accurately enter customer orders into the company’s system, verifying product details, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely processing and fulfillment of orders.
• Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries regarding product warranties, returns, and order status.
• Provide clear, accurate, and timely responses to customer concerns through phone, email, or in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to address complex customer needs.
• Perform inspections on returned products to assess condition and validate claims.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and aligns with quality assurance standards.
• Identify trends in returns or complaints and report findings to management for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the HVAC or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in order management and CRM software; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
