Quality Assurance Technician – Manufacturing – Base Salary to 31.00/hour – Denton, TX
- Our client, a large construction company who has been in business over 75 years is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician. This candidate will be on the shop floor most of the time working with machine operators to ensure industrial metals and products meet correct standards. The ideal candidate will be looking to grow into a lead or supervisor role.
- Hours for this role:
- 1st shift – 6am – 3:30pm Monday - Thursday (Friday 6am-10am)
- 2nd shift – 4pm – 12:30am Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Document Control (Facility Specific)
- Administer the change control system according to approved SOP
- Evaluate documents for grammar, spelling, and formatting
- Communicate new / revised documents to affect employees
- Color Matching (Facility Specific)
- Read and administers sample for customer approval
- Approves / Rejects and set up trials upon customer approval
- Checks Material meets requirements to Quality Standards and/or drawings using calibrated tools and equipment.
- In process / Final Inspections / Audits
- Validates product according to ANSI ASQ Inspection Table
- Corrective Action Report (CAR)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in quality assurance/control in a manufacturing setting
- Experience using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, gauges
- Experience reading blueprints
- Experience working with structural steel, tubes, flat metal, sheet metal
- ASICs, welding/fabrication, and six sigma are a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 23.00 – 31.00/hour range
