Quality Assurance Manager - Photonics System Manufacturing - Base Salary to 140k/year - Farmingdale, NY
- Our client, a well-established Photonics company is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for their Farmingdale, NY area location.
- The Quality Assurance Manager will possess expert knowledge of various Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14971, ISO14001, etc. The purpose of this role is to improve on the implementation of quality management systems, conduct internal and external audits, & ensure regulatory compliance. The Quality Assurance Manager will have hands-on troubleshooting expertise for electronics and photonics manufacturing and a collaborative approach to drive quality initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain several ISO quality management systems.
- Lead internal and external audits, manage registrars, and ensure successful outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electronics manufacturing
- Collaborate with department heads to embed quality principles and continuous improvement throughout all organizational processes.
- Drive corrective actions and improvement initiatives based on audit findings, customer feedback, and data-driven analysis.
- Ensure all processes are documented, monitored, and measured for ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and support, leveraging a strong electrical engineering background to address complex quality challenges.
Qualifications:
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering background (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years implementing and managing Quality Management Systems in technical environments, including internal and external audits and registry management.
- Ability to manage regulatory compliance and quality systems independently for manufacturing, specifically in electronics and photonics
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to resolving electronics manufacturing issues.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives.
Compensation:
- Base salary to 140k/year
- Bonus: 10k in the first year, tied to KPIs and objectives.
- Benefits: Health insurance (including dental and vision), 401(k) with 5% match
