Quality Assurance Manager - Food Manufacturing – Base Salary to 80k/year – Chicago, IL
- Our client, a respected food manufacturer with a century-long track record in the industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to be a valuable addition to their team. Being a family-owned and operated business, they have continuously sustained their growth by introducing innovative products and consistently exploring novel product possibilities.
- In this position, the Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding the quality and safety standards of the food manufacturing process. As a key member of operations, this person will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies compliance with Safety, Sanitation, and cGMP regulations across the plant's daily operations.
- Performs inspections for startups and daily production.
- Responsible for completing documentation pertaining to inspections and production. This includes records for various aspects such as scales, temperatures, machinery, and more.
- Tasked with delivering programs to ensure continuous training of all plant personnel in policies and initiatives like cGMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and the Allergen Policy.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses and lead the implementation of effective corrective actions to address quality deviations and enhance overall process efficiency.
- Conduct on-site process inspections and area audits in accordance with the established plant auditing program.
- Informs maintenance and/or higher-level management about safety or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance roles within the food manufacturing industry, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in conducting data-driven analyses, root cause investigations, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Experience with executing plant inspections and internal audits
Compensation:
- Base salary to 80k/year
