Project Sales Representative – HVAC - Base Salary to 100k/year – Tacoma, WA

  • Our client is currently seeking a Project Sales Representative for their team in Tacoma. The Project Sales Representative is responsible for providing comfort solutions for building owners, with a focus on aggressively growing the service projects business by developing relationships, following up sales leads, generating quotes, and obtaining orders from customers. The person will market our full-service offerings, while focusing sales on large projects with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and capture new opportunities resulting in service project sales.
  • Serves customers by answering inquiries, responding to special requests, and communicating order changes.
  • Interfaces with existing customers to identify opportunities to profitably grow our replacement and retrofit business.
  • Consolidates and references information by collecting, organizing, and assembling data for reports, presentations, and special projects.
  • Develops sales plan and generates successful sales with core customers.
  • Responds to customers by identifying needs, generating quotes, and closing orders.
  • Maintains records of sales, customer information, and requests by updating the database
  • Assures customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed.
  • Communicates customer perceptions by gathering customer feedback and sharing information with management.
  • Works closely as a team member with other parts of the business.
  • Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Develops multiple relationships with buying influences in the customer’s organization, including facility manager, project managers, project engineers, and purchasing.

Qualifications:

  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) from four-year college or university preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial/industrial HVAC project sales
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Compensation:

  • Base salary to 100k/year
