Project Executive – Large General Construction Firm - Base Salary to 200k/year – Charlotte, NC

  • Our client has been in business for over 50 years and is proud to be an industry leader in general construction and engineering services. Some of the markets they build in are: High-rise structures including condominiums, apartments, and office, retail, industrial manufacturing, federal & military construction, gaming and entertainment, hospitality, and healthcare.
  • Currently they are looking for a Project Executive to join their team for a $170MM+ ground-up project. The Project Executive will provide overall leadership for project performance, contract negotiations, client relations, budget, schedule, and trade partner management. The Project Executive will also lead and maintain compliance with corporate safety and quality standards and will serve as the direct point of contact for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Using industry contacts to generate leads.
  • Participate in the RFP process.
  • Participate in Contract negotiations as needed.
  • Work with Pre-Con team to develop budgets and schedules.
  • Assemble Project Team.
  • Lead Turnover Meeting between Pre-Con and Project Team.
  • Thoroughly understand the contract and ensure project team understands and is compliant.
  • Visit the project site regularly to monitor performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the project team.
  • Full understanding of Accounts Receivable, Financial Forecasting, and P&L for project.
  • Assist project staff with Baseline Schedule development.
  • Assist project team Lean/Last Planner processes.
  • Champion project safety program and performance.
  • Attend owner and project meetings, maintain continuous client communication.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of GC experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management or Engineering
  • Must have experience building large construction projects ($100MM +) from start to finish.
  • A proven track record of motivating the project team to exceed project
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills to represent the company with the Owner.
  • Ability to develop client relationships to gain future
  • Ability to recruit and build a project

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 150k – 200k/year range, depending on experience.
  • Annual structured bonus.
