Project Engineer – Injection Molding – Base Salary to 115k/year – Milwaukee, WI
Company Profile:
-Family-Owned Injection Molder for Medical Devices with over 100 years in business and several manufacturing plants in the USA.
-Highly Automated climate-controlled facility currently adding a $1M Clean Room while also upgrading with all the latest technologies at all of their production locations!

Responsibilities:
-This Project Engineer works on cross-functional teams from initial concept & quoting stage of programs, tooling reviews & engineering studies, ROI’s, tooling improvements, to transfers to production & improvements.
-Obtain information from the appropriate manufacturing, quality, internal engineering & Tool Shops, customer engineering, purchasing and sales associates to provide the optimum proposal to the customer.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree is preferred but having the experience below is the key!
-5+ years as a Project Engineer working on cross-functional teams on new Injection Molding Tooling projects-concept through launches into production and improvements
-Preference to experience with LSR/LIM-Silicone Injection Molding but any plastic molding can be considered with a plus for Thermoset and/or Thermoplastic molding
-Preference to Medical/Healthcare/Personal Care products but will consider others.
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects: Review part designs/design reviews using 3D CAD (Solidworks or similar) and make recommendations, work with multiple customers, vendors, and internal Tool Shop to oversee tool builds, performing APQP, IQ/OQ/PQ, & DOEs, Statistics, Moldability & Capability Studies, Steel Safe/Tolerance Safe, ROIs
-Knowledge of Automation concepts (Press robots, automated assembly equipment) and Secondary Operations.
-Thorough understand part geometry, basic mold construction is needed.
-Must have good people and communication skills able to work with customers & suppliers.
Compensation:
-Base salary to 115k/year
