- Our client, a well-established contract Electronics Manufacturer is currently seeking a Production Manager for their Tallahassee, FL area location. Our client has been in the electronics industry for 30 years offering customized PCB (printed circuit board) assembly & RF technology supporting medical, Aerospace/ Military, Communications, and Industrial markets.
- The Production Manager is responsible for the overall production of customer products to be made efficiently, accurately and on time. Our client is seeking an experienced leader (a pro-active people-person) who can build, coach & motivate a multi-shift workforce (80-100 staff with Supervisors and Leads) to support quality-driven, customer-focused operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate manufacturing schedule to meet customer needs
- Communicate daily goals/ schedule/production issues with the team
- Oversee production floor to ensure quality and productivity
- Manage flow of material in and between departments resolving technical issues
- Oversee labor requirements and scheduling to minimize overtime
- Collaborate with Engineering re: process instructions (MPI’s), routings and drawings as needed
- Manage standard operational procedures (SOPs) for efficiency
- Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance to optimize equipment
- Oversee Work Order/RMA’s completion
- Prepare reports/metrics from detailed data re: production, quality, efficiency and project status
- Occasional customer interaction
- Create a continual learning & improving environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
- 5+ years manufacturing production management for Contract Manufacturing, Electronics, PCBs
- Electronics certification or electronics military training a plus!
- Pro-active people-manager who knows how to use resources to achieve production/efficiency/quality goals
- Ability to effectively use Office 365 and MRP/ERP system (MANFACT) and software that runs basic production equipment such as SMT, ovens, AOI, wave solder, conformal coating, ICT, Flying Probe and other test equipment
- Ability to support a clean (5S) and Lean manufacturing environment, and typically work 50-60 hours per week, with occasional weekends
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 80k – 110k/year range dependent on candidate experience and fit to role
- Bonus program eligible based on company performance
