- Our client is a global leader in refrigeration and temperature control solutions.
They offer career opportunities in cutting-edge technologies across diverse industries, emphasizing environmental sustainability, innovation, and a commitment to employee development. - Our client is currently seeking a Procurement Manager (internally titled Sourcing Engineer) for their team in Greer. The Procurement Manager will conduct global market research for air conditioning components, source and evaluate suppliers, manage contracts, analyze costs, and ensure cost-effective procurement solutions. This position requires 3+ years of global procurement experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, proficiency in English, and willingness to travel around 15% globally.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct global market research on air conditioning components and gather industry intelligence.
- Source suppliers worldwide, evaluate qualifications, conduct audits, and oversee sample approval and supplier admission processes.
- Analyze supplier costs, negotiate and sign contracts, and manage risk control.
- Manage the performance of qualified suppliers.
- Ensure reasonable procurement prices and provide cost-effective solutions to the R&D department.
- Take responsibility for cost reduction and aim for higher procurement revenue through savings.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in refrigeration, electrical engineering, or mechanical design.
- 3+ years of global procurement experience required
- Demonstrate experience in data center air conditioning or central air conditioning procurement. Relevant global procurement experience in other industries, particularly in steel, copper pipe, joint processing, standard fasteners, or sheet metal, is preferred.
- Familiarity with global mainstream ERP systems; experience with KNDY system is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of FOB, FCA, and EXW quotations, as well as understanding local transportation costs in the United States. Familiarity with US customs declaration and import policies is essential.
- Possess a global perspective with a broader mindset and agile thinking.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English; English bidding documents preparation is required. Mandarin as a second working language is preferred.
Compensation:
- Base salary to 90k/year, flexible dependent on experience
