Process Engineer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 95k/year - Lancaster, PA 

  • Our client, with over 100 years of design, manufacturing and selling of custom solutions for power transmission, motion transfer and conveying applications is seeking a Process Engineer for their Lancaster, PA location. 
  • The Process Engineer is responsible for reducing process variation and enhancing process efficiency, generating product drawings, and supplying necessary details for quoting and manufacturing new products. This person will also oversee process trials, drive process improvement projects, work towards standardizing tooling, run specifications and procedures, and assist in enhancing production equipment. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Implement programs for monitoring and maintaining major process inputs, such as machinery, tooling, raw materials, and processing conditions, to enhance efficiency, increase throughput, and reduce scrap. 
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives aimed at minimizing process variability and optimizing throughput across all production lines. 
  • Utilize and support process standards while collecting and analyzing data for continuous improvement initiatives across various product categories. 
  • Lead product and process development efforts by conducting trials, writing reports, and suggesting changes to product geometry and performance to enhance efficiency. 
  • Collaborate effectively within a core engineering team and across other functional areas to drive process improvements and troubleshoot issues. 
  • Support production staff with process troubleshooting and assist production operators when needed. 
  • Drive activities to manage the life cycle of products and parts, including generating product prints, manufacturing routings, material specifications, and tool design. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent  
  • Education and/training related to process and project engineering is required  
  • Proven skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks required 

Compensation:  

  • Base salary to 95k/year
