Mold Technician - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary to 62k/year - Gardner, MA

• Our client, a growing plastics manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Mold Technician to join their production team in Gardner, MA. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting injection molding operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing machine adjustments, and maintaining efficient production performance while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper operation and production efficiency
• Troubleshoot molding and equipment issues by identifying root causes, making minor repairs, and cleaning molds, platens, and related equipment as needed
• Adjust machine controls, processing parameters, and equipment settings to maintain product quality and optimal machine performance
• Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as required to meet production schedules
• Complete preventive maintenance activities on molding equipment and related systems
• Restore machines and equipment to operational condition in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Follow and support all safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices
• Prepare and submit maintenance work orders as needed
• Collaborate with supervisors, production personnel, and maintenance teams regarding production needs and operational concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation related to machine performance, maintenance activities, and production issues

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with injection molding machines
• Knowledge of basic injection molding processing and machine operation
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and perform minor mechanical repairs
• Ability to work onsite on 2nd shift (2: 00 PM – 11: 00 PM)

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 54k - 62k/year range (paid hourly)
