Plant Superintendent - Lumber Processing Plant - Base Salary to 120k/year - Flagstaff, AZ
- Our client is a leading lumber processing facility located in the Greater Sedona area. They are the largest, high-capacity sawmill facility in the state.
- Our lumber manufacturing plant is looking to add a Plant Superintendent (internally titled Dry-End Superintendent) to the team. This person will oversee the Planer Mill and Engineered Wood Products (EWP) plant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage production operations
- Create schedules for both sections – Planer Mill and Engineered Wood Products plant
- Work cross functionally with sales team to ensure operations align with demand and sales orders
- Monitor waste and grade outturns
- Conduct safety meetings
- Collect & analyze data relating to drying, planning, and manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
- 3+ years working in lumber processing operations
- Robust familiarity with Engineered Wood Products and Planers (surfacers)
- Background in pine lumber is preferred
- Hands on experience operating a Planer is a plus
- Servant leadership
- Plus for experience with Quickbase
Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 120k/year plus bonus. Our client is offering a full relocation package to get to the greater Flagstaff area. Piece of advice I would give myself?
Always remember money can’t buy happiness; but it can buy you a boat, which would probably make you a little happy. Piece of advice number two: it’s the little things in life that make it worth wild.
What I typically eat for breakfast?
Cereal. There is no argument there here, Frosted Flakes are the best.
