Plant Manager - Bedding/Mattress Manufacturing - Base Salary to 170k/year - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
- Our client, a well-established bedding/mattress manufacturer is currently seeking a Plant Manager with industry specific experience for their Rancho Cucamonga, CA location.
- The Plant Manager reports to the VP of Operation and manages a plant of approximately 110 employees; 12 direct reports, working one shift, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Confer with management re: production, quality control, budget, & cost controls
- Plan and direct production activities & priorities – revising schedules as needed
- Coordinate production activities with other departments
- Review and analyze causes of any nonconformity with product specifications to eliminate production problems
- Drive continuous improvement, consulting with engineering personnel as needed
- Document and track production data
- Cooperate and collaborate with all other departments for a team approach and to help create new products for customers
- Conduct Daily production meetings staff
- Conduct Monthly meetings with upper management
- Supervise plant employees: interviewing, hiring and training, work performance, reward/discipline, and address employee issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of operations management experience for bedding
manufacturing - Lean Manufacturing background/ approach
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- ERP experience (SAP preferred); strong Excel & analysis
- Proficient skills in: Math, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Customer Service, Communication (verbal and written) Teamwork, Delegation, Leadership, Managing People, Ethics, Strategic Thinking, Planning/ Organizing, Professionalism, Taking Initiative
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 170k/year; plus 20% bonus
- Medical (eligible on 1st of month after hire) dental, vision
- 401k 4% match (vested day 1)
- PTO/ Vacation
