Personal Lines Underwriter - Large Growing Insurance Carrier - Base Salary to 100k/year - Honolulu, HI

• Our client, a well-established and expanding insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team in Honolulu, HI. This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a stable, growth-oriented organization.
  
• The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of underwriting experience across Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella lines. This role transitions to a hybrid schedule after 90 days.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Personal Lines policies, evaluating new business, endorsements, and renewals in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  
• Analyze risk data to assess exposures and determine whether to accept, modify, or decline accounts within underwriting authority.
  
• Develop and maintain strong agency relationships to drive profitable growth and achieve monthly and annual production goals.
  
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes while ensuring data accuracy and preparing monthly product line reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’ s degree in Finance, Business, Insurance, or related field
  
• 5+ years of underwriting experience in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Auto, and Umbrella policies
  
• Proficiency with underwriting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 100k/year range

• Hybrid schedule after 90 days (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
