Job Description
- Our client, a multinational insurance broker, is looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team in Honolulu, HI. This role specializes in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella policies.
- Analyzing risk and underwriting personal lines policies with a specialization in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella
- Collecting relevant data and analyzing risk
- Making decisions on whether to accept, edit, or refuse policies based on underwriting guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Reviewing policies to check for up-selling/cross selling opportunities
- Building strong relationship with agencies
- Keeping up with industry trends/continued training
- 1+ year experience underwriting Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella policies
- Bachelors degree in finance, business, insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or AU (Associate in Underwriting) a plus
- Base salary in the 65k - 100k/year range
