PLC Controls Technician – Industrial Maintenance – Base Salary to 38.00/hour – Barnwell, SC
- Our client is a leading industrial facility in Barnwell, SC, dedicated to manufacturing high-quality products for various industries all over the world. They are seeking a skilled PLC Controls Technician with expertise in PLC Siemens controls to join their maintenance team.
- As a PLC Controls Technician with specialization in Siemens controls, you will be a vital part of our maintenance team responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our industrial machinery. Your expertise will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities:
- PLC Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Siemens PLC systems to ensure they operate efficiently.
- Control System Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose issues related to Siemens PLC controls, both hardware and software, and implement effective solutions.
- PLC Programming: Modify and improve existing PLC programs as necessary to enhance equipment performance and meet production requirements.
- Electrical Repairs: Conduct electrical repairs and replacements, including sensors, motors, and other components, following safety protocols.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, including PLC-controlled machinery, to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and PLC program changes.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the maintenance team, engineers, and production personnel to optimize equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Manufacturing maintenance.
- 4+ years’ experience with PLC Controls, experience with Siemens preferred.
- Experience working with servo drives and process controls.
- Technical degree in manufacturing controls preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer programming language.
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 38.00/hour dependent on experience
