Operations Manager - Manufacturing – Base Salary to 150k/year – Dallas, TX

  • Our client operates as a specialized manufacturer of commercial HVAC systems. Their dedication to technological advancements in this field is pushing the boundaries of air-handling challenges faced today.   • In this role, the Operations Manager will assume responsibility for overseeing production and operations. This includes coordinating all activities related to manufacturing, maintenance, and process engineering throughout the facility. This is a day shift position.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and arrange daily tasks associated with production and operations.
  • Lead in developing and implementing manufacturing plans, including production configuration, build schedules, material requirements, and resource planning.
  • Assess productivity through the development and monitoring of metrics, examining performance data, financial information, and activity reports.
  • Evaluate labor requirements for production and make informed decisions within the allocated budget.
  • Support in the establishment and execution of standardized operating procedures, tools, and metrics to facilitate smooth operations and achieve success.
  • Develop a consistent operating rhythm and actively foster communication and recognition across all levels of the plant, ensuring alignment with the business strategy.
  • Offer strong leadership for manufacturing operations within the plant, encompassing responsibilities in areas such as EHS, production objectives, machine and material efficiency, cost reduction, and quality assurance. This leadership is aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Formulate strategic plans and objectives in accordance with the broader company strategy.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Introduce and guide the implementation of a Lean Culture within the plant to optimize employee engagement and facilitate enhancements in product quality and process efficiency, resulting in continuous yield improvements.
  • Conduct research, assess, provide recommendations, and oversee the implementation of investments in technology, equipment, or systems that will enhance the production capabilities of the plant; aiming to optimize production, improve efficiency, and reduce conversion costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience within an HVAC manufacturing environment 
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in planning, forecasting and budgeting 

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 125k - 150k/year range
